A surgical cotton roll is absorbent cotton wool I.P. wound as one continuous length. You take off what a dressing needs and the rest stays on the roll. It is the format chemist shops, clinics, first-aid boxes and households buy most, because one pack covers jobs of very different sizes.
Belsara makes roll packs in four sizes. All four are the same cotton, written to the Indian Pharmacopoeia and supplied non-sterile.

Carton quantities depend on the pack size and the order. Ask when you send your requirement and the quantity per carton will be confirmed with the quotation.
Roll or Zig Zag?
Order roll packs when the amount used varies job to job, when the cotton is sold over a counter, or when a single pack has to cover several kinds of work. Order Zig Zag packs when cotton is pulled in measured lengths all day on a dressing trolley — the concertina fold is faster and wastes less.

Questions about roll packs
What is the difference between roll and Zig Zag cotton wool?
Both are Absorbent Cotton Wool I.P.; the difference is how the cotton is folded. A roll pack is one continuous length that you cut or tear as you need it. A Zig Zag pack is folded like a concertina, so a measured length pulls away cleanly without cutting — quicker on a dressing trolley.
Is the cotton sterilized?
No. Every pack is supplied non-sterile and is marked "to be sterilized before use". That is the usual form for absorbent cotton wool I.P. used in dressing, cleaning and everyday first aid. Sterilize it in your own autoclave if your procedure calls for it.
How much does absorbent cotton wool cost?
