What is the difference between roll and Zig Zag cotton wool?
Both are Absorbent Cotton Wool I.P.; the difference is how the cotton is folded. A roll pack is one continuous length that you cut or tear as you need it. A Zig Zag pack is folded like a concertina, so the cotton is drawn from a folded pack rather than unwound from a roll. Specify both the format and net weight in your enquiry.
How much does absorbent cotton wool cost?
Every pack carries a printed MRP, inclusive of all taxes: roll packs 20 g ₹30, 40 g ₹75, 400 g ₹368, 500 g ₹460; Zig Zag packs 100 g ₹180, 400 g ₹410, 500 g ₹475. That is the retail ceiling. Distributors, chemists buying in cartons, hospitals and government buyers get a trade rate below MRP, quoted per order: send the pack size, the quantity and your delivery PIN code.
Is the cotton sterilized?
No. Every pack is supplied non-sterile and is marked "to be sterilized before use". Do not treat the pack as sterile. Check its label and your institution’s approved procedures before use. Include any sterility requirements in your procurement specification.
